Akindra Chyler was a Human officer of the Imperial Security Bureau during the Galactic Civil War. Prior to that, she was part of the Commission for Preservation of the New Order. Unlike most members of the Commission, who were poorly trained and fanatical, Akindra proved to be a skilled security agent and was accepted by the ISB with the rank of sergeant. By the Battle of Endor, Akindra was a captain. After hearing of the disaster at Endor, she left the ISB and became a freighter pilot.
Biography[]
Akindra was born on Rendili, a planet in the Core Worlds. At a young age she joined the Commission for Preservation of the New Order, shortly after the formation of the Galactic Empire. Akindra was assigned to Coruscant during that time, and proved to be a skilled agent when she gathered important intelligence on the Black Sun presence on the planet. Afterwards, she was viewed much higher than the average COMPNOR member.
After that incident, Akindra joined the Imperial Security Bureau with the rank of sergeant. She was mostly given desk jobs at the ISB Central Office on Coruscant, before being reassigned in 3 BBY to the Mid Rim. There, Akindra monitored locals for any dissent, on different planets. When the Galactic Civil War broke out, she fought in several skirmishes against Alliance to Restore the Republic spies. In 1 ABY, Akindra was promoted to lieutenant. After more successful counterintelligence missions, she was given the rank of captain.
In 4 ABY, she heard of the death of Emperor Palpatine and Darth Vader aboard the second Death Star over Endor. Thinking that the Empire was done, she left the ISB days later and became a pilot in the crew of a bulk superfreighter.
