Adrian Varino III was the first Imperatus of the Varino Imperium and son of Adrian Varino II. Compared to his father preferring diplomacy and trickery in his running of the Imperium, he would also expand his father's plans for exploration of the Unknown Regions. He was not nearly as capable of a naval tactician due in part to him prematurely leaving the Imperial Academy and his lack of combat experience as he was kept from the frontline until his father stepped down as his regent in 19 ABY.
Biography[]
Early Life[]
Born on Naboo in 12 BBY, the firstborn son of Adrian Varino II. As such he was from an early age began to be taught the ways of the Varino family, he would largely be taught by his mother Eliaasia Neiham and his grandfather Adrian Varino I, prior to his official schooling in a proper school. He would see his father often early in his life, but this would change as the Rebellion began to kick off. As he was still rather young he was confused why he rarely saw his father at this point, and this would be the first seed of his resent toward his father.
Of course, in his father's place he had his grandfather, who would often just tell him stories of his time in the navy, and tried to keep him from falling into the same trap of father and son being at odds with each other. Varino III, would largely see his grandfather as his idol, wanting to be like him. As he grew older and his grandfather had begun to teach him wargaming as a way to bond, which worked and the bond between the two was great.
Military Dreams[]
Adrian Varino III, would go to a military prep school, passing the entry requirements, he would begin studying there. From here the only way up for him was up, and that's where he went, albeit not the top of his class he was still able to hold his own and worked his way into the top ten. While his instructors believed he lacked some of the fire of the other students he did prove his persistence. He would be in this prep school when the first Death Star was destroyed, where he had a brief thought of joining the Rebellion after he completed this prep school. He would decide against this however, reasoning it was luck that the Rebel's had.
From here he would move up to the Imperial Naval Academy arriving in early 4 ABY, albeit somewhat young he proved himself capable. He, however, would not have long to adjust and to learn, having planned to study for the full three years and longer if need be, he would be there around two months before the destruction of the Death Star II and he would be quickly ferried away by his father to Naboo.
