Able 472 was a clone trooper who served during the waning years of the Galactic Republic.
Biography[]
Service in the Rebellion (1 BBY - 0 BBY)[]
As the Rebel Alliance was born, Able-472 was one of the clones to serve the Rebellion against the Galactic Empire. He dedicated his life to serving the Alliance's cause, becoming a loyal soldier in its ranks. Joining with Juno Eclipse on his side, they received a commission from the Salvation. He was present along with several clones when Eclipse gave a speech to her crew, revealing her past service in the Imperial Military and highlighting the atrocities committed by the Empire.
Recruiting Ackbar[]
After receiving a temporary demotion, Able-472 traveled to Dac along with Eclipse and several crew members to recruit Ackbar and the military resources of his world into the Alliance's fold. To that end, they welcomed the discreet assistance of Bail Organa upon their arrival on Dac's moon. Convincing Ackbar to join the Alliance, they rallied both the Mon Calamari and the Quarren race to add their strength to the Rebellion. Through Ackbar's strategic brilliance, the group accompanied themselves with a goal to achieve a symbolic victory that would galvanize the Dac resistance movement and motivate it to throw its weight behind the Alliance. Leading a false attack on Heurkea, Able-472 and the group planted explosions throughout the city in order to trick the Imperials into thinking that the city was under an unauthorized attack by their own TIE fighter squadron, the 181st Imperial Fighter Wing. The Imperials were easily fooled and retreated from the city, and the Rebellion's mission was a success.
Attack on the Salvation[]
While still waiting for the Rogue Shadow to dock with the Salvation, Able-472 was ordered by Eclipse to allow them for landing in the ship. The intel included everything the Alliance needed to know in order to launch a successful attack, including floor plans, security systems, and troop deployments. Able-472 felt a little regret that the Alliance was going to lead an attack on Kamino, but he had to do what was right in order to restore the Old Republic and make into the New Republic.
Around the same time, an Imperial surprise attack commenced mainly on the Salvation. The ambush was a complete success, and Imperial troops stormed the ship in a relatively short amount of time. When the bridge came under attack, Able-472 stood with the crew and attempted to defend their position, but it was ultimately a futile effort. He managed to shoot only two troopers until he was shot in the shoulder. Badly wounded, Able-472 quietly reached for his gun when Juno Eclipse was captured by Boba Fett. He was later found by medical officers and took him to the infirmary where he was fully recovered.
