Aantooine Astronomical University (AAU) was a university on Aantooine founded in 10,935 BBY, early in the development of Spalgar astronomy.
Several programs through the university had discovered new objects in the sky as far as 4.5 billion light years away. Most nebulae and other gaseous superstructures surrounding the Aan system were found and charted. Hyperspace field trips subsequently sent students to such nebulosities to study and write papers on them from observation decks.
