ARC-8619/19, once CT-8619, and nicknamed "Jace", was an ARC Trooper in the Grand Army of the Republic during onset of the Clone Wars. A clone of the bounty hunter Jango Fett, Jace briefly served as a Coruscant Guard in the first weeks of the conflict. He eventually became a member of the unit he would always belong to, the 30th Assault Legion, led by Jedi Generals Callista Konshi and Jaran Kareel. Upon the formation of the 30th after the Battle of Geonosis, Jace joined Ghost Squad in the 30th's Havoc Company. In the climax of fighting, Jace served for a length of time under ARC Commander Alpha-13 of the 3rd Legion. He would go on to fight in many key battles during the course of the war.

Joining the 3rd Legion[]
Shortly after his physical therapy was concluded, Jace was immediately signed into the support platoons that would be deployed out to the world of Balith. The current station of Jedi General Anakin Skywalker, the 501st, and the 3rd Legion, Jace had spent many weeks reading about their campaign on Balith for such a situation as this. For the time being, all anyone on Coruscant knew about the Balith Civil War was that the Republic was tasked with taking down a tyrannical dictator, which actually proved to be very successful. However, the rebel forces that were trained by the Republic troops became uneasy with the Republic's presence there, and turned against them as well. At least, this was all that anyone on Coruscant was told by the HoloNet. Jace could not say whether or not this was true, but he held firm to his belief that the Republic was doing everything it could to help a dissatisfied people.
Jace joined the reserve forces that were being deployed to Balith, constantly being told by his "med-bed" mates to be careful on that planet. They left Coruscant quickly, and before he knew it, they were within orbit of Balith. The world had once been green and lush, but now it was almost like it was decaying from the constant warfare waged on its surface. Jace departed with the rest of the garrison, and was taken by a gunship to the staging area of the 3rd Legion. Upon landing, he was met by CL-4425, named "Water". The commanding officer greeted him and congratulated him on his recovery. Modest as he was, Jace questioned his new commander as to where he would be needed most, and Racer quickly responded by showing him to the legion's barracks. In the meantime, Jace would bunk with his new comrades and be issued new armor from the 3rd Legion, to replace the generic Phase II armor he wore during the trip. The last thing Racer said to Jace was to be on the lookout for any ARC troopers, should he encounter them, and tell them his name. The commander wanted to see him.

Battle of Dantooine[]
Battle of Abrego 3[]
Only weeks after his promotion to ARC Trooper of the 3rd Legion, crisis struck once again. Within the Senate, the people of Abrego 3 were under risk of a Separatist invasion. Even though they had been constantly asked by the CIS to join them, they declined, and tensions had finally boiled over. A temperate world, Abrego 3 was known for being one of the few planets in the Republic to actively provide relief to war torn planets throughout the galaxy, and had the respect and admiration of many systems. This required immediate action, and the Republic would lose it's honor if it didn't come to their aid. True to their values, the Republic heeded their plea, and the 3rd Legion was sent to protect Abrego 3.
As the legion deployed, Jace accompanied Ember and his other Alpha ARC troopers to a specific area of theirvenator-class star destroyer where Ember had designed rigorous tests and training modules for his troopers in between battles. The only difference this time, was that he selected the same training modules that he and his brothers had went through on Kamino so many years ago.
Jace went through each tests, determined to finish no matter the pain or suffering. It was the most difficult training session Jace had ever faced in his life, being designed for Alpha ARC troopers, and were close to impossible for an natural born trooper. He would slip up often, much to the dismay of Ember, but the thing that set Jace apart from the rest, was that no matter how he was knocked down, he would get back up. On one occasion, Jace was shot multiple times with a stun blast from many of the training droids, but Jace would stagger, yell, and then get back up as if he were unaffected. This sheer will to push on suprised Ember, and at the same time, earned him the respect of Jace as an ARC trooper. Jace completed under record time, but it was a good one nonetheless. Ember congratulated Jace on his perseverance, and all of the Alpha-ARC troopers began to see Jace as one of their own.
When the 3rd exited hyperspace, they found themselves at the face of a large Separatist fleet which had already begun its procedures for land invasion. Taking no caution, Kaja Tallan immediately deployed the mass of V-19 Torrent starfighters and the new ARC-170 starfighters at their disposal. While Tallan led the squadrons into the fray, Ember had his troops prepare the LAAT/I gunships for deployment. Things would not go as planned, however, when the Separatists immediately halted their invasion to engage the Republic forces.
Jace watched as both squads collided in a frenzy of dog fights that covered the entire battlefield. Both fleets were within the atmosphere of Abrego 3, and one could see the surface of the planet below. He and Boltshot were called from the barracks of their cruiser to join Ember and the rest of the Alpha ARC troopers on the bridge. Upon arrival, Jace learned from his commander that Tallan had discovered the identity of the one leading the invasion. He was a nemesis of Ember and his men, who was known all over the galaxy by the name of Sadeet Cradossk.
Ember had ordered a boarding part to land on the flagship and capture or kill Cradossk. A small detachment of the 3rd Legion, headed by ARC troopers Buckler, Niner, Boltshot, and Jace, would land in the hanger bay and make their way to the bridge. Hopefully, they could capture Cradossk before he knew what was going on. In the briefing, Jace did something he normally didn't, and suggested a way for them to get into his ship using tactics he had learned from the 30th Assault Legion. Buckler commented on the unorthodoxy of it, but eventually, everyone agreed that they should jump onto the top of the ship itself, and propel down into the hanger. Ember agreed with the plan, mostly due to the fact that it would lessen casualties, and Cradossk would not expect the 3rd to do something so unorthodox as this.
They loaded into the gunships and Jace gave the troops a run down of how to air drop in unison to that of the 30th. Three gunships had been deployed and were now above Cradossk's Providence-class destroyer.

Battle of Rhen Var[]
It had been almost six months since the Battle of Ilum, and any sighting of the Separatist acolyte Oron Teithis hadn't surfaced. Recently, the Republic had suffered a defeat at the Kaliida Shoals II Medical Station on Polis Massa by Separatist forces under the command of Cradossk. His personal strike team, the infamous Bysenar 2-9, had been targeting Republic operational stations ever since, causing quite a commotion throughout the Mid-Rim. It wasn't until a week or so into the incidents that a transmission was sent to the Jedi Temple from General Grievous and Sadeet Cradossk themselves. Jace watched in horror as Grievous taunted the group holding a clone in his hand above the ground. He threw him to the ground, and kicked him over to Cradossk. The Trandoshian promptly pulled him off the ground with one hand, and used his claws to slit the clone's throat, allowing blood to flow on his hands and down to the floor. Their message was clear: to force the Republic to chase them through space by necessity, or lest the clones watch their brothers die by the thousands.
Jace was briefed with the Alpha-ARCs at the Jedi Temple, along with the Jedi Generals Valena Renn, Sheya Tisa, Pong Krell, Anakin Skywalker, and Obi-Wan Kenobi. The members of the 3rd Legion, the 88th Recon Corps, the 212th Attack Battalion, and the newly replenished 30th Assault Legion would join in the chase. With a force as massive as this, Generals Yoda and Windu assured it would only be a matter of time before one of the two Separatist leaders would be caught. To ensure full tactical superiority, Skywalker and Ember suggested that the 30th's personal special forces unit, Bravo Squad, join in on the mission. Within minutes of letting them, Beowulf and his squad were at the Temple. Just a day before, the Republic had located Separatist forces on the icy-world of Rhen Var. Positive that they are connected to the destruction of the Kaliida Shoals II Medical Station, Windu believes that they are under direction by Grievous and Cradossk. Having lost contact with the planet's communications facility, named Tallis Station, it is all but certain that the Separatist presence was a certainty.
The attack plan would follow with Bravo Squad entering the communications facility with extreme prejudice to shut down the station's Anti-Aircraft guns. From there, Ember, Sharkie, and Bant air drop with the 30th Assault Legion from above and the 212th's Ghost Company would enter on foot. Jace and Niner would provide sniper support from a nearby ridge, concealed within the ice-caps as to avoid detection from sensors. If all goes well, they will be able to capture Sadeet and Grievous before they can escape. Jace voiced his opinion to Ember, stating that from what the two have faced together this mission will not be so easy as it may seem. Ember agreed, knowing that there was probably walking into a trap.
They deployed quickly, arriving at Rhen Var within the hour. When they came to the system, almost no Separatist vessels were blockading the planet. All of the heroes watched as their massive army began to amass for deployment, but suprisingly watched as a shuttle entered orbit and made its way to the planet. Jace noticed that it was very peculiar in design, but was even more interesting, was that Sheya Tisa, Valena Renn, and Obi-Wan Kenobi sensed a presence they felt familiar.
The cruisers barreled through the few Separatists frigates guarding the atmosphere with ease. Upon entering the hanger bay, Ember was given confirmation that Grievous and Sadeet were on the planet. Jace followed his commanding officer with the Alpha-ARCs to meet the 30th in the hanger bay shortly afterwards, and upon his arrival, came face to face with his old comrade; Clone Commander Trigg.
Trigg walked up to his old brother first, nodding at the Alpha-ARCs as he came to him. Jace and Trigg immediately put an arm each other's shoulders, both very different from the last time they saw each other. Trigg removed his helmet, and Jace did the same. Trigg seemed taken aback at the experience that showed on Jace's face and the fact that he had a beard now. Jace laughed, and exclaimed that Trigg looked as gruff as ever, with a scar now on his lip and much more stubble on his face than before. At this time, Ember walked up to the two.
Trigg and Ember shook hands, while Jace introduced his old commanding officer to Ember. Trigg remained polite, having lost some of his past hate for ARC troopers, although he watched Ember attentively. He even made as to comment if Kane would be participating. Jace explained their hatred for one another afterwards. Jace joined Niner on a seperate gunship, while Ember, Bant, Sharkie and their detachments loaded into a gunship with Trigg and Fox Squad. Jace wouldn't know what both of his commanders were discussing, and only hoped that it wasn't anything bad.
The gunships let off from their hangers and made their way from the Republic fleet to the planet below. Sheya and Skywalker spearheaded the assault with their squadrons, giving support to the gunships as they made their way to the facility. They were within a flew clicks of the facility when the landing part was immediately caught in stray artillery fire. Sheya and Skywalker clashed with oncoming droid starfighters as the gunships used the scramble to make their way to lower ground, out of shooting range. Trigg called in fighter support to assist Sheya from the Republic fleet, knowing that they would need all the help than could muster.
Only a few meters from the drop zone, Obi-Wan Kenobi was notified that Bravo Squad had touched down outside the facility via stealth dropping. The gunship carrying Jace and Niner, however, took off from the main group towards a ridge that overlooked the facility. Jace and Niner quickly exited their gunship, utilizing speeder bikes and taking them to a nearby glacier. Jace immediately pulled out a newly modified DC-15A, designed exclusively as a sniper rifle. He watched as the rest of the gunships continue until they arrived at the facility.A torrent of blaster fire stretched in all directions, both blue and red. Jace could see the lines of droids surrounding the edges of the station, trying to hold their position as the clones disembarked from their gunships. Kenobi, Cody, and Ghost Company piled out first, taking the brunt of the crossfire and returning it back to the droids. There was no sign of any the high priority Separatist leaders, now humorously referred to as the "Sinister Four" by the clone troopers. Admiral Trench had not been sighted as of late, nor any visual confirmation on General Grievous or Sadeet Cradossk. Jace would have to wait and see before making a move. The droids surrounding the facility were surprisingly low in numbers, which Jace guessed was the byproduct of the havoc that Bravo Squad was creating inside the facility. Before long, Jace recieved word over the commlink that Bravo Squad had made it to the AA guns. Seconds later, the turrets on the top of the facility erupted in explosions and flames. While Bravo made its way to assist the troopers marching in, Jace settled his rifle to watch for anything.
The gunships carrying Havoc Company and the Airborne Sharks had made their way above the facility, and Jace watched as they air dropped on top the station, breaking through glass and cutting through metal to enter the facility and completely dissipate the droid forces. Niner told Jace how weird it was that everything was going according to plan, something both knew was not usual in battle. Jace's comrades exterminated the droids inside the base, but were caught unawares as the members of Bysenar 2-9 appeared within the station and attacked the clones from multiple locations. It was sheer chaos, with troops scrambled everywhere, making the elite members of Cradossk's team perfect to pick of the pockets of troopers fighting in the hallways. Mrash and Morgues were plowing through the Airborne Sharks, leaving blood along the walls and floors of the hallways. Tal'gala was aiding them in picking off the clones from afar, and to everyone's surprise, had been currently engaged by Beowulf and his squad. Jace knew that their relations as commandos would make Beowulf and his men very angry with Tal'aga, so much as they wouldn't hesitate to kill him.
From what Jace could hear, Beowulf had engaged Tal'gala face to face. Jace even managed to duel view commando Akar's helmet feed as to get a visual on the situation. In one moment, he was shooting at droids, and within seconds, Beowulf bursts through a wall with Tal'gala in a hold, throwing him into a crate. Tal'gala retailiates, performing a spinning kick which knocks Beowulf's helmet off. The clone commando retaliated against the deserter, punching him in the gut and the uppercutting him into the wall. Jace almost laughed, knowing that Beowulf was one of the few clone commando's to roll punches as hard as he threw them. But Tal'gala was no rookie, nor inexperienced. He came back to Beowulf and threw a punch. The later grabbed his fist, but Tal'gala brought his other hand out and slammed Beowulf into the wall, knocking him through it. He drew a knife, and plunged it down into his shoulder. Beowulf grunted, then brought his own wrist blade up into Tal'gala's arm, severing his muscle and tendons. Tal'gala growled in pain, then lifted Beowulf up and threw him across the room. Akar responded by tackling Tal'gala, but was thrown off. Injured and needed elsewhere, Beowulf fired his DC-17 at him as he fled, but was unsuccessful in hitting him. Beowulf could be heard cursing at Tal'gala, and Jace thought he heard some sort of swear that he would kill the man.
Through what comm chatter he could make out, Ember was engaging Cradossk somewhere, which gave him lots of anxiety. Jace could not get a visual, no matter where he looked. At the other end of the station, Jedi General Valena Renn had engaged General Grevious, and was holding her own very well. But the constant barrage of the droid forces was decimating her troops, and she began to fall back gradually. Again, Jace felt anxiety at the fact that he could not get a visual on Grievous.
Almost on cue, a comm channel opened up to all on the ground, and a clone officer warned them that a massive Separatist fleet had exited hyperspace, under command of Admiral Trench. Sheya and Skywalker were engaging them, but the sheer amount of vessels was proving to be difficult to hold off. Moments later, Jace quickly alerted the ground teams that Separatist troops were incoming, and in large amounts.
Niner alerted Jace to a shuttle flying towards to the facility, the same which had entered the system earlier. Jace watched, keeping his scope trained on the cockpit. When he noticed that it was piloted by droids, he took his shot, and the shuttle began to tumble down towards the edge of the facility. To both of their amazement, the rear doors of the shuttle were burst open and two black-armored men lept from the doors to fall to the facility below, both holding what seemed to be lightsabers. In minutes, the comm system was overwhelmed by the sounds of troopers, screaming, yelling, or shouting all above the hums of lightsabers. Jace knew they were sith, and alerted all the ground troops, while trying to get a visual. One of the two made his way to a opening, killing five men from the 30th Assault Legion with a red lighstaber, Jace took a shot, meeting his mark on the edge of the sith's helmet. It flew off, and the Sith turned towards where Jace was with yellow eyes, lined by red viens and shadows around it. It was the face of Jacius Railus.
Jace alerted the 3rd Legion and the 30th to the fact that Jacius had been confirmed as present in the fighting, and was hostile. At this time, Sheya had crash landed somewhere in the battlefield emerging outside of the station. Jace did his best to give her cover, but he knew that she was completely focused on the fact that Jacius was alive. She made her way towards the doorway when Jacius burst out, saber in hand, and engaged her. Niner informed Ember that Sheya and the members of Ghost Company outside needed assistance, but the ARC Commander told Niner that they were hard pressed within the facility and reinforcements weren't an option as of now. Even with the combined efforts of Bravo Squad outside, the Republic was losing ground quickly. Most of the tanks had been destroyed, and the droids only seemed to be growing in number. The droids were organized and steady, something that meant bad news for the Republic. Even with all of his shots, Jace could barely create a scratch in the massive numbers of the oncoming droid army. AAT's and MTT's rolled along with the infantry, only adding to the numbers and wrecking havoc on the clones as explosions decimated their forces.
With the knowledge of the Sinister Four fighting in Tallis Station, it would be extremely difficult to combat the droids effectively. Oron had engaged Obi-Wan Kenobi and Valena Renn now, as confirmed by their surviving troops, and the whereabouts of Grievous were unknown. The casualties were piling up, and the toll of the dead began to weigh on the Republic forces. He was relieved to find that Obi-Wan and Valena had managed to push Oron back, but his presence would mean trouble for anyone else in Tallis Station.
Above them, the Republic fleet was taking heavy casualties, and had already begun evacuation protocols. Krell and Skywalker had done their best to hold off more ships than they could handle, but the sheer massive numbers of Trench's fleet had brought the Republic fleet to its knees. Knowing the anxiety covering the whole battlefield, Jace kept his scope trained on Jacius, this ordeal being the first and foremost of his worries. Sheya and Jacius parried and swung at each other, connecting blades. He watched in horror as he sliced Sheya across her right leg. Before he could make a killing blow, Havoc Company charged out of the station, guns blazing, and drove Jacius back. He promptly made his way to nearby shuttle, where he was met with the lately scared Grievous and Oron Teithis. Jace prepared to fire on Oron first, training his scope on him as far as it could. But within seconds of the other members of the 30th coming to stop the Separatist commanders, sniper bolts from another shooter crossed the plain and took down many of the troopers.
Jace immediately refocused his view towards the direction of the shot, and saw the figure of what appeared to be the Bysenar 2-9 member "Brooke". A renowned sniper, she was a constant nuisance to the 3rd Legion and was responsible for many deaths of Jace's closest brothers. With vengence in his heart, Jace turned his scope on her, and within seconds, sent a blaster bolt across the plain to her position. Within seconds, Brooke could be seen convulsing back as a blaster bolt pierced through her shoulder, and managed to hit a a thermal detonator laying in a weapons cache behind her. The explosion sent shrapnel flying around her, and pierced her forehead. Jace silently cursed in Mando'a, then went to go for a second shot, but by the time he had a fix, she was already being extracted by two other men whom he assumed were the other members of Bysenar 2-9. Niner congratulated him on the shot, and assured him that Brooke would definitely be coming for Jace in the battles ahead, if they survived this one. But their victory was short lived, as the Sinister Four, now joined by Cradossk, made their way to a disclosed location. Outnumbered and outgunned, the gunships came back to ex-filtrate Ghost Company, the 30th Assault Legion, and the 3rd Legion. Jace and Niner took their speeders into the open plain on top of the ridge and were picked up by Trigg and Ember along the way.
Having taken many loses, the Republic forces rejoined their cruisers, now very few in number. They jumped to hyperspace on a route back to Coruscant. Everyone was dismayed over the failure they sustained, especially Trigg and Ember. Jace reported to Ember on the way back, detailing what he had seen, and did the same to his Jedi officers. Afterwards, Jace joined Trigg and Valena with attending to Sheya's wounds. The Republic and the Jedi Order would be shocked from the confirmation of Jacius Railus being alive, and the atrocities he had committed on Rhen Var no less.
Aftermath[]
The conflict on Rhen Var had taken its toll on Jace and his friends. En route to Coruscant, Jace joined Trigg and Valena outside of the medical bay. Trigg and Valena were discussing the state of Sheya's injuries when Jace inquired as to her condition. Valena answered by stating that her leg had been sliced by Jacius's saber, and as of now, she could not walk on it. He joined them in the medical bay to examine Sheya, and Jace assured her that they would bring Jacius back to the Republic. But in the middle of Valena's healing routines, she found something very peculiar with Sheya. It was then that Jace, Trigg, and Valena realized that she was pregnant, due to the fact that Valena could sense a presence within her. When asked who was that father, Sheya only mentioned one name: Jacius.
This was something Jace was not prepared for. Valena, who had much to sympathize with Sheya for, agreed to keep it a secret, as did Jace and Trigg for the sake of Jacius. Nobody else could know, lest they suffer from the many judicial systems that would come into play if anyone knew. Jace and Trigg both could hardly believe that the Jedi they thought of as a brother could be a father. But he and his old commander had other duties that came first, and both returned to their respective units for further orders. The fleet exited hyperspace outside of Coruscant's system. As each unit went to its respective designated barracks, and the cruisers which had been badly damaged left to be repaired, Jace pondered what his brothers where thinking right now. The 3rd Legion had always lost men in battle, and thus they knew the cost. But his old comrades from the 30th were not used to fighting such as this, open and coverless, and the toll would probably be the worst on them.
Upon arriving on Coruscant, Jace immediately went to the 30th's barracks, where he met with his commander. They talked for some time on the recent discovery of Sheya's pregnancy, and what they would do with the child. Trigg promised that if Jacius could never be saved, he would more than willingly take the child under his care. Jace was only trying to keep Trigg's mind off of the one thing he knew was consuming his thoughts, the loss of his brothers. Before long, the topic came up, and there was no turning back. Trigg was heart-broken from the death of his men. Just before extraction his loyal Lieutenant, Jep, was killed in action trying to help his troopers into the gunships. Jace knew, even from the time that he was serving in the 30th, Jep was as loyal and determined as they come. After much consideration, Jace took Trigg to the 79's cantina bar to cool his thoughts. If there was one thing he learned about dealing with causalities, drinking was the best way to do it.
They took a taxi there, but even when stepping onto the platform, Jace could tell Trigg's thoughts were everywhere. A trooper had walked up to them, obviosuly drunk, and tried to make a comment on Trigg's apparent depression. Within seconds, Jace watched in humor as Trigg grabbed the trooper, then laid him out across the pad, telling him to get sober and do his duty for once. The other troopers merely backed away, and the two entered the clone bar. When they came in, Jace caught notice of clones at the bar counter. It was Ember and his Alpha-ARCs.
Jace walked up to his commander, firmly slapping his shoulder plate. Ember almost turned around to punch whoever had touched him, but noticed it was Jace and the two embraced each other with both hands on each shoulder. Trigg took a seat by Ember, and Jace to Trigg's left side. Trigg asked for nothing but water, and Jace asked for juma juice. Ember asked Trigg how he was going, to which the later didn't give a response. Jace frowned with disappointment. And it was then, for the first time, that Trigg finally said that he could hardly cope with what had happened on Rhen Var. Jace was aware of the low casualties of the 30th, and so he knew that the toll of Trigg losing so many men was not a commonality.
Ember, who was one his third cup of wine, encouraged Trigg as best he could. On occasion, Niner would crack a joke that sent them all laughing, but Buckler seemed to lessen the comedy with his grim attitude, something Niner attributed to both him and Trigg. But with the jokes came a lightening to the whole group, and before long Trigg had seemed to get past his grief momentarily. Boltshot remarked on how brilliant it was that Jace had nearly killed Brooke on Rhen Var, and Buckler on the fact that she would no doubt come back for revenge. Jace felt no worry about it, and would gladly finish the job next time, although he would hate to kill such an attractive woman. Everyone at the bar laughed, including Trigg. For many hours, they talked over many subjects, until the notion of Jacius arose. When Ember mentioned that he couldn't believe that Jacius had fought Sheya and wounded her, Trigg and Jace immediately remembered her pregnancy. As far as they knew, Valena had taken her to Shili where she would give birth to her child in secret, away from prying eyes. Ember didn't know much about Jacius except from what the HoloNet and the other clones said about him. He had asked Tallan about him once, but all his general said was that he was "a powerful Jedi with bigger pride". The 3rd Legion had always asked Jace what he was like, but Jace never really had much time around Jacius. The question then came to Trigg.
Trigg was fond of him, as far as Jedi went. Jacius was one of the few Jedi he had ever met that actively took part in anything clones did, from being in the barracks to eating with them. He even remarked to the fact that his peers saw him as much more militaristic than most Jedi. Jacius was widely known as one of the Order's most courageous Jedi, and his heroism had made him quite a famous figure of the Republic. Ever since his apparent death, the 30th could hardly continue on fighting without him.

Phase 1[]
Jace went through many armor styles during his time in the Clone Wars, mostly because of his constant transfers. However, the only variant he used consistently without much change was his Phase I clone trooper armor during his time with the 30th Assault Legion. Upon his helmet was a red upwards arrow, the symbol he had come to adopt because of his "upward thinking" reputation. The rest of his helmet followed in suit of the 30th's generic trooper designs.
On his chest, Jace had red triangular shapes which all came to a point in the middle of his chestplate. He also sported two thick lines which went from his underarm to his belt, and continued as one wide square. His knee armor was also red and two small waves of red were present at the bottom of his lower leg armor.
As a trooper, Jace wielded a standard DC-15S. Known for its greater accuracy and knack for not overheating too quickly, Jace preferred it more than its counterpart, the DC-15A. Jace always kept extra cartridges in his belt, even though constant movement would render the tibanna gas canisters useless because of their fragility. A natural with the gun, Jace was capable of utilizing the DC-15S with one hand after using it frequently. By the end of the first year of the war, Jace had nearly mastered the weapon to perfection, earning him his later spot in the 30th's Fox Squad.
Phase II[]
Shortly after Jace recovered from his wounds, the Grand Army of the Republic was issued the new standard Phase II clone trooper armor. Now a member of Alpha-13's 3rd Legion, Jace would switch over to their designs. Even though he no longer fought under the 30th, Jace wouldn't remove most of the designs he had before. He liked the newer issue more than the past because of it's versatility and comfort.
Jace's armor was identical to the troopers of the 3rd Legion, which compared in design to that of the 501st Legion's jet troopers. Upon his joining, Jace was already a thing of interest to Ember because of his reputation. While wearing the standard armor of his new comrades, Jace placed an arrow on his left bicep, changing it from its previous location on his helmet. He donned a kama half-kilt to protect from any shrapnel that could be flung at leg level. Jace also began to wield a pair of DC-17 hand blasters, in order to increase his flexibility of range in a firefight.
This would lead into his new set of armor, which he received upon joining the ARC Troopers of the 3rd Legion. He was given the experimental Phase II ARC trooper armor while it was still in use. On his back, Jace wore the generic backpack which provided an ARC trooper with various utilities in battle. Instead of wearing what he had before, Jace took on a two shouldered pauldron which protected his neck from stray blaster fire and returned his old designs from the 30th Legion onto his reinforced chest-plate.
His knees were colored blue, along with the lines along his shins. Jace also colored his belt and returned the lines that extended from his underarms down his sides. Instead of having his full colored arm guards, Jace had a single blue line run from his shoulder plate to his gauntlets. His helmet was less customized, having only the fin and edges of the visor colored blue, along with is cheek area. He returned the arrow design to his helmet, but this time pointing downwards into a line. Jace used his DC-17 hand blasters much more often than the DC-15S at this point in time, and sported a fold-down range finder like the rest of his Alpha-ARC brothers.
