I have to do what I have to do. Like always. Now go!
—Wyan's last words.
ARC-32, initially called Thirty-Two, later known as Wyan, was an elite clone trooper commando who held the rank of commander in the Great Clone Forces during the Second Clone Wars, serving the Galactic Republic against enemy forces known as the Federal Society and the Dark Empire.
He was a normal clone trooper in the Red Company, and later became an ARC trooper, simultaneously reassigned into the First Division. Thirty-Two participated in many battles, including the battle of Sarkin, in which he was horribly injured, causing him to suffer amnesia and rendered him unconscious at the same time.
He later met up with a Jedi Master and an astromech droid who helped recover his memories, then requested him to follow them back to the Republic capital, Coruscant, to which he agreed. On the way, they were attacked by the Galactic Federal Society, and Wyan sacrificed himself in order for the other two to escape.
Biography[]
ARC-32 was bred as a typical clone of Exhart Martineus on Kylone, just like millions of other clone troopers, to serve the Galactic Republic during the eruption of the Second Clone Wars in 57 ABY. He began as a simple rookie clone trooper, and an ordinary member of the Red Company. Thirty-Two performed excellently in battles throughout his first six months of the war, which gave him the chance of being trained as an Advanced Recon Commando. After his graduating the program, Thirty-Two was transferred into the First Division, among the older breeds of the army, which rendered him again as an unknown. Only shinies would refer to him as an experienced trooper.
During the edge of the second year, Thirty-Two was caught by Federal Society forces and was interrogated for three days, his imprisonment accompanied by painful tortures. He never gave out any information, being a very loyal soldier. Thirty-Two was then scheduled for execution the next day, but his old team, the Red Company, came and rescued him that night. Thirty-Two was out of service for a long time, until the fourth month of year three. He was back in the battlefield, and joined many more battles.
In the horrifying battle of Sarkin in 60 ABY, during the middle of the year, the scene was bloody. The Republic was losing, so there were many clone troopers killed halfway of the battle. By then, Thirty-Two tried to search any working starship to save his living brothers. Once he found a space shuttle, he took some of the clones on board it, and launched it into the atmosphere. Unfortunately, a few seconds into flight, and the enemy soldiers blasted the shuttle in mid air, blowing it up and, engulfed in flames, the shuttle crash landed back on the battlefield. The impact ended up Thirty-Two being unconscious, and all the other passengers dead. A week later, the battle had long finished, with the Republic lost, and Thirty-Two finally woke up from his comma, but apparently suffered short-term memory loss.
A group of alien miners discovered him in a disoriented condition; his body wounded, his armor depleted. The miners brought him with them back to their planet in the Outer Rim, which was called Devorish. Here, Thirty-Two took the name Wyan and worked as a mechanic in a vehicles workshop. For a month Wyan lived in a rental house on that planet. By then, a Jedi Master and his astromech droid crash landed their ship near the town Wyan lived in. After strolling in search for a repair shop, the pair met up with Wyan, who they thought look familiar. The Jedi told his astromech to scan Wyan’s left wrist, and the droid projected a holographic panel showing all the information on Wyan’s records back when he was a clone trooper. They discovered that Wyan was actually an elite ARC trooper, one of the best veteran commandos in the army. The Jedi said that he was reported KIA in the Battle of Sarkin, which Wyan immediately recalled. Part of the memory vaguely returned.
The Jedi and his astromech were actually in pursuit by Society starships while in space. Their ship ws damaged by enemy fire, causing it to crash on the ground. They needed to go back to Coruscant, so the Jedi requested Wyan for help, also for him to follow them, and he agreed to this offer. Wyan fixed their starship, and the Jedi gave him a brand new clone trooper armor he kept in his ship, just in case, and along with that, he handed Wyan a bottle of black paint. Wyan painted line markings on his cheeks, his thigh, his fingertips, and a big tilted square on his left chest. He packed his belongings and they prepared to launch into space—the ship in the middle of a barren desert.

Wyan, in his brand new armor
Just before ignition, a platoon of Society troops appeared by the horizon, instantaeneously engaging their ship. Wyan knew what would happen next; he had to do what he had to do, and so he took a blaster and ran out of the ship. He told the Jedi and astromech to leave. The enemy deployed ground troops to capture them, but Wyan fought them off alone, all by himself. The Jedi knew what Wyan’s job was, so he started the engine and piloted the ship off the ground. Wyan had already thought of a plan; he threw away his blaster and waited for the enemy troops to come closer.
As the troops neared him, Wyan was dragged away from the scene for execution, with a few other troopers firing on the ship. A few steps away, Wyan beat up the trooper holding him and took his pistol, immediately shooting the others to death. The other troopers were distracted by him and drew their fire to him. Wyan took a grenade and pulled of the pin. He swiftfully evaded the shots as he sprinted for them. As Wyan jumped into the middle of the group, he punched down the troopers one by one. His fight wasn't long; the grenade soon exploded and killed all of them. The Jedi Master felt very sad. The astromech reluctantly piloted the ship away from the planet en route to Coruscant.
Behind the scenes[]
Originally, clone captain Redge’s story was supposed to go a bit like this. But since it was changed into the Battle of Vryvon, the Battle of Sarkin was given to Wyan’s story. And it was expanded even more.
Wyan was taken from the name of the clone army template, Exhart Martineus.
