- The Baron's Avenue Theatre Fire - A fire breaks out in the Baron's Avenue Theatre, located on Baron's Avenue in Zarkan City, capital of the Kingdom of Zarkania-Westland. Faulty firefighting equipment and inadequate emergency exits cause a crush as panicking patrons attempt to escape. 130 of the 400 patrons are killed in a combination of being crushed and smoke inhalation.
- In response to the tragedy of Baron's Avenue Theatre the Parliament of the Zarkan Kingdom passes new laws on fire safety for theatres and other public venues.
