- Eager to reform the Kingdom of Zarkania-Westland, nationalists of the Zarkan Kingdom put forward a proposal to the Kingdom of Westland to form a new union called the "Zarkano-Westian Confederation", the proposal is rejected, despite some support within Westland.
- The Number 1 ion carbine is discontinued by Ionix Combat Systems.
- Zarkanian patriots commission a poster titled Sisters, United!, depicting Mother Zarkania and Westlandia, the national personifications of the Zarkan Kingdom and the Kingdom of Westland, respectively, greeting each other in friendly and loving embrace. The poster is intended to encourage Westlandian support for confederation.
- The Number 7 ion disruptor from Ionix is also discontinued.
