The 561st Legion or the 561st ARC Brigade was an elite brigade made up of ARC Troopers. The Unit was created as a special forces unit during the Clone Wars to counter CIS Droid forces without sending in an entire army. The brigade was often commander by Commander Rarar and sometime by Jedi Master Roshi. The brigade was very famous for Operation Exodus, during which the bulk of the CIS Air Squadron was destroyed on the ground.

The 561st Legion was created under the utmost secrecy during the height of the Clone Wars. The idea came from Amolsch who had sensed the need for an entire brigade made up solely of ARC Troopers. Amolsch commanded the unit for a while but was soon transferred to the 501st Legion. After his transfer Commander Rarar was promoted and was given command of the unit.
Operation Exodus[]
Operation Exodus was the first major operation that the 561st was involved in and was later seen as a turning point in the Clone Wars.
Operation 10[]
Operation 10 was a complete success in the early days of the 561st. The mission was created when the Republic received word that the CIS was preparing a strike on Dantooine. The republic forces sent in the 561st to destroy the attack force. To gain access to the assault ships the 561st was provided with a Droid Gunship and it was used to land inside the main hanger. The team then jumped out of the ship and began destroying every thing that moved inside the hanger.
