The 501st Special Forces were the elite branch of the 501st Legion. They had armor similar to the Clone Shock Troopers, albeit blue. They were used in special operations, such as sabotage of an enemy base or an ambush an enemy officer.
They were distinguished by seemingly similar armor to the 501st Legion and a blue shock trooper helmet. They were seen in groups of ten. They were assimilated into the Imperial Commandos after the Great Jedi Purge.
History[]
500 troopers from the 501st were chosen to be part of an elite group named the 501st Special Forces. They went through vigorous training far more severe than the Clone Commando training. Only about 150 of the 500 troopers had survived the training. They were separated into five companies, Beta Company, Triphon Company, Omege Company, Gree Company and Wok Company. Wok Company was sent on a mission to Raxus Prime to take down the Separatist leader, Count Dooku, only to fail and lose more than half of their men. They went on numerous missions after that and only three Companies remained. Triphon Company, Beta Company, and Gree Company.
In 19 BBY, they were assimilated into the Imperial Commandos.

They were equipped with blue clone trooper armor with shielding and a blue shock trooper helmet. They were armed with the DC-15S blaster carbine and an unknown scoped blaster rifle. They also usually carried five concussion grenades
