The 39th Region Army was a strategic military formation in the Separatist Droid Army commanded by Marshal General Yosip Zagoonga. One of about one hundred Confederate Region Armies, the 39th Region Army was composed of around one thousand army groups, each of which contained dozens of field armies. The billions of battle droids under the 39th fought in countless battles of the Clone Wars in the southern regions of the galaxy.
While Zagoonga commanded the entirety of the 39th Region Army, its forces were far too large to be in one place, so he also led Army Group FZM so that he could directly fight in the war. The 39th Region Army was dissolved along with all other Region Armies following the Mission to Mustafar, which resulted in the deactivation of the Separatist Droid Army.
