- Mace Windu is assigned to hunt down Zeck Beth
- Williamston bomb threat, underground elements of the former New Earth Republic attempt to detonate a Hydrogen bomb within Williamston, Nortalia, the capital city of the Union of Earth States, they do this to eradicate the Union Senate and other branches of the Union's government in order to bring about the restoration and victory of the NER. The terrorists are defeated and the bomb defused mere seconds before detonation, the incident is not reported, so as to avoid public panic. The bomb threat appears mere months after anti-Federalists detonated a bomb in the Federalist Faction headquarters in Williamston in a plot to assassinate high ranking hardline Federalists for their part in the escalation of the previous year's Tariff Crisis.
- Zarkanian Ultranationalism has exploded in popularity in response to the Tariff Crisis as anger at the Union hardens the positions of the nationalist majority of the population. Hirram Tollard founds the short-lived "Nationalist Phalanxes of the Zarkanian Motherland" (NPZM). The NPZM will unite with Albert Georgeson's "Everything For The Motherland Party" (EFTMP) the following year to found the Zarkanian National League (ZNL).
- Meighton's War: Fighter-bomber aircraft of the Royal Southwest Vulgatian Air Corps, one of the colonial air forces of the Royal Zarkanian Air Force in Vulgatia (the "Western Colonies"), conduct a successful pacification campaign of rebellious Dengashun tribesmen through the use of ground attack sorties. The campaign is named after Sir Algernon Meighton, Commander-in-Chief of the RSVAC.
