• Norman Fulton pens the Lower Etoran national anthem - Lower Etora Fair.
• Wedding of Jane Zarkan and Guarin Jenkyns III.
• The Dreadnaught-class heavy cruiser Buzzard is commissioned by the Galactic Republic.
• The Resurgent Alliance is founded on Tatooine.
• Founding of the Westian National People's Party (Westian: Vestlandsk Nasjonal Folkepartei; VNFP), a nationalist party in the Kingdom of Westland.
• The Zarkanian National League establishes the League of Nationalist Youths (LNY), the youth branch of the party.
• Christopher E. Mannsley, a Captain of the 4th Company of the Protection Brigade - the paramilitary bodyguard organisation of the Zarkanian National League - pens the Marching Song Of The P. B., a popular marching song of the PB.
• The "Battle of Zarkania Square", the 1st Company of the Protection Brigade - the Zarkan City branch of the P. B. - clashes with "Red Front" (an alliance of Socialist and other Revolutionary groups) revolutionaries in Zarkania Square, the Red Front forces are defeated and driven back, after taking a severe beating.
• Richard S. Deere, the Commander of the LNY's Oakhill Branch, pens the March Of The National Youths, a popular quick march of the LNY.
• A. R. Richmond composes a quick march for the 1st Company of the P. B. titled The Battle of Zarkania Square Victory March - A. R. Richmond's first piece produced for the ZNL.
• The Zarkanian National League wins the Zarkan City Election of RY 966, the local ZNL chapter forms the new City Council.
• The ZNL-run Zarkan City Council erects up a plaque and a monument to the memory of the fallen PB men in Zarkania Square.
• Mount Taikaro erupts in the Governorate General of Cherassai.
• Eton Quark Urmsleigh of the ZNL composes Blue-White Banner, a popular ode to the ZNL's party flag.
