- West Valand War (310 BBY - 308 BBY): The Zarkan Kingdom, sympathetic to the cause of West Valand nationalists, makes a deal with nationalists of West Valand who seek independence from the Valandian Empire to provide them with assistance in exchange for becoming a client state of the Zarkan Kingdom. The majority of West Valandans accept the deal out of a desire for any sort of autonomy. The deal angers Valandia, who declares war on the Zarkan Kingdom.
- Great Rallying: The Zarkan Kingdom rallies forces from across her vast empire to invade the Valandian Empire.
- Invasion of West Valand: Zarkanian forces cross their eastern border into the region of West Valand.
- West Valand Revolution: Local West Valandan freedom fighters launch a revolution against their local Valandian authorities in support of their Zarkanian allies.
- Occupation of West Lothania: The Zarkan Kingdom occupies the western portion of the Valandian territory of Loritania, to the south of West Valand. The Zarkanians establish the Margraviate of West Lothania to serve as a buffer against Valandia.
