The 1st Inter-Academy IAB Championships was the inaugural academy-wide tournament for the competitive form of Imperial Academy Boxing. It was hosted on Coruscant at the Royal Imperial Academy in 18 BBY.
Organization and Venue[]
18 BBY saw the beginning of organized inter-academy Imperial cadet sporting events, which were all held under the auspices of the Imperial Athletic Commission. The inaugural championship tournaments for all cadet sports were held on Coruscant at the Royal Imperial Academy, and then rotated throughout the Imperial academy system on an annual basis.
For IAB, the championship tournament was held over three days at the Royal Combat Hall, a purpose-built stadium designed for combat sporting events. In all, 200 cadets from all 14 Imperial academies took part in the tournament.
