16th Marine Regiment

The 16th Marine Regiment was the first regiment of the Republic Marines' 6th Marine Division. In 3,987 BBY during the Corps' efforts to reorganize and refine its doctrines and tactics, it was reformed into the 16th Marine Battalion.
