The 'Burr-Hureg family was a very important upper-class family which began on Zextragaya III, the Eokian colony which would later be known as N'Akkiarl Major, around the year 50,000 BBY, fought in the N'Akkiarlian War of Independence, served N'g'iro colony of the Mzenran Empire, but later defected to the N'Akkiarl Alliance during the N'Akkiarl-Mzenra War of 45,000 BBY and were amongst the leaders of N'g'iran freedom fighters.
The 'Burr-Hureg family was one of the original Founding Families, the N'Akkiarlian families which served as leaders of the rebel forces during the N'Akkiarlian War of Independence, Vyyzgalak 'Burr-Hureg, the original patriach of the family, served as a general of the N'Akkiarlian freedom fighter army during the war.
The family later served the First N'Akkiarlian Confederacy during the N'Akkiarlian Civil War of 40,000 BBY, believing that it was family duty to serve as freedom fighters when freedom had to be defended, in honour of the liberator ancestors of the 'Burr-Hureg family, Vyyzgalak 'Burg-Hureg, in particular. There were some which considered those who fought for the Confederacy to be traitors, someting which angered members of the 'Burr-Hureg family.
They were related to the 'Noni-Kvarrigarrtirakorr, 'Lur-Zannan, U-Zakala, U-Utiga and the Human Dart family, Zerego family, and the Zarkan family. Jyoznarr also thought of his two Ingzan servants, Michael Ollosen and Ruby Sedris as part of his family, though they weren't by blood, they were considered family members because Jyoznarr was their master, Ruby Sedris also gave birth to one of Jyoznarr's children. Vyyzgalak was also the ancestor of the Zerego family, an Ingzan family of which he was the master, his native Earthling servant called Hólóká Zerego bore at least one child to him, a Human son called Jácó Zerego.
