The following is an archive of the second discussion regarding the joke article deletion proposal, this discussion having been used to determine what articles should not be deleted despite the vote in the previous proposal. The final decision was to keep Darth AT-AT and the articles in the New York/Earth series written by Ken S..
This is now a page used for historical purposes. Any further comments should be made on the talk page.
All articles unrelated to New York and Darth AT-AT have been deleted. Voting for whether Darth AT-AT should also be deleted with them will continue will continue until the 24th of November.
Well, this is more of a wiki-wide message than a forum since the voting has concluded. Forum:GINORMOUS Joke Article Deletion Proposal has concluded, and the deletions are about to begin. However, as agreed upon, the authors of the newly-deemed joke articles have the opinion of exporting their articles to Darthipedia. Messages will be issues to the authors of the articles in the list below. If they fail to accept the move to Darthipedia within a week, then their articles will be deleted.

The moving process
If you wish to move your article to Darthipedia, please follow the steps below:
Tell an administrator that you want to move your article. After the deadline above is met, the administrator will ganernate a list of articles to be exported. The administrator will contact a Darthipedia administrator and ask them to export the articles to darthipedia through Special:ExportThe Darthipedia administrator will then import the articles to Darthipedia through Special:Import (Michaeldsuarez has experience with exporting and importing, so all questions should be directed towards him).
- Contact NASA have them put you in outer space in exchange for a pineapple, fly like a chicken (that will work since your weightless) and sing the Imperial March in honor of Commander Lightning and maybe just maybe we'll accept your article. Madclaw Shyriiwook! 20:32, 21 November 2008 (UTC)

Earth Series - Delete or Keep? (+2 Keep)
If one Earth Series/New York City articles goes, the rest has to go with it, and vice versa. This will determine what will happen what will happen to every NYC article that's already been voted on, even if there's a different result. Drewton (Drewton's Holocron) 19:58, 13 November 2008 (UTC)

- There's nothing wrong with the continuity itself, but it should be on the regular fanon wiki, IMO. Drewton (Drewton's Holocron) 19:58, 13 November 2008 (UTC)
- I'm in favor of it being moved, but I won't lose any sleep over it staying. With that in mind, I'll let the rest of the community play tie-breaker rather than vote neutral. -MPK (MPK's Talk Page) 23:05, 13 November 2008 (UTC)

228articles that mention "Earth". Will you delete all of those as well? --Michaeldsuarez (Talk) (Deeds) 18:42, 14 November 2008 (UTC)- I miscounted, it's presently 213 articles. --Michaeldsuarez (Talk) (Deeds) 19:01, 14 November 2008 (UTC)
- No. But those other articles do hold a relevance to Star Wars. Having read the articles in question, there's no way I'm changing my mind on this. -- (talk) (contributions) 19:13, 14 November 2008 (UTC)

- I don't think the Project Cruentus articles have much to do with Star Wars. They seem to be more of a military story without enough connections to the Star Wars Saga. IMO, we should delete all Project Cruentus articles. Who's with me? - Brandon Rhea (talk) (contribs) 19:18, 14 November 2008 (UTC)
- The first lines of Earth (Ken S.) are "Earth is a planet on the far side of the Outer Rim. It is currently the primary capitol of the Imperial Remnant." This sounds like Star Wars to me. --Michaeldsuarez (Talk) (Deeds) 19:20, 14 November 2008 (UTC)
- If you wish to propose all the Project Cruentus articles for deletion, feel free. I'll still oppose, but please do feel free. However, my stance in this matter will not change. -- (talk) (contributions) 20:04, 14 November 2008 (UTC)

- Might I remind everyone that this is about JOKE ARTICLES, not about whether or not you think something is a decent storyline or if it has enough Star Wars content for your personal standards? The fact that this whole vote is being perverted into something that it was never intended to be is, quite frankly, pissing me off. - Brandon Rhea (talk) (contribs) 20:42, 14 November 2008 (UTC)
- Interpretation is key, Rhea. Also, if you think that Darth Vader and the Emperor officiating a wedding isn't a joke, then I'm afraid we have completely different ideas of what a joke is. And if I want to vote on an issue because I feel it will lead to the destruction of a low quality set of articles, then that's my choice, regardless of what the vote is about. - I guess that's goodbye to "write what you want because you want to", then. - Brandon Rhea (talk) (contribs) 21:00, 14 November 2008 (UTC)
- Sure, if you're willing to overlook the fact that, as stated above, I believe this series is a joke. I don't much care for a lot of articles on this site, but I don't advocate for their deletion. This is a joke, and so I do think it's worthy of being deleted per the policy. As for whether it's a joke or not, that's subjective, and so I don't much care whether you think it's a joke or not. - There isn't a policy against Star Wars/ Earth crossovers. Even Brandon Rhea and others have Earth articles. If you're going to delete the New York series, then the fair thing to do is to delete all Earth articles. --Michaeldsuarez (Talk) (Deeds) 20:06, 13 November 2008 (UTC)
- It's not a joke series, and you can't discriminate against Star Wars/Earth crossovers, especially when you're only going to call out one of them. - Brandon Rhea (talk) (contribs) 21:49, 13 November 2008 (UTC)
- There is absolutely nothing in any of these articles that suggests a joke. When there is something in an article that is percieved as funny, then the article really isn't a joke; my point is, it's obvious by looking at the articles that Ken did not have any intention of creating the articles for humor purposes. Thefourdotelypsis summed it up right: he thinks Jasca Ducato is hilarious. Should it be deleted? Maybe. -- Joe Butler (Obi Maul12) (Chow) 00:04, 14 November 2008 (UTC)

Darth AT-AT (+5 Keep)

- I vote this for several reasons. First, the name is ridiculous. Second, I don't care whether any of these articles are joke articles (because "joke" is an entirely arbitrary classification), so humorous content has no effect on my vote. Third, more importantly, the more danger the article is in, the more likely its author is to think of a better name, thereby greatly improving the quality of [and saving] the article. Aside from that, I also vote this so the rest will be the tie-breaker. I wouldn't even have to acknowledge this article's existence if not for this voting process. -MPK (MPK's Talk Page) 22:47, 17 November 2008 (UTC)

- There's some POV in the article and the name is a tad on the absurd side, in my opinion, but names don't decide whether or not an article is a joke. For example, it was voted to keep Eatmo Chick'en. C3PO the Dragon Slayer correctly stated in the discussion on Eatmo Chick'en that names do not constitute joke articles. In my opinion, despite the ridiculous name, this article should be kept as there is no joke content in the article. - Brandon Rhea (talk) (contribs) 22:18, 17 November 2008 (UTC)
- Per Brandon. -- Joe Butler (Obi Maul12) (Chow) 00:49, 18 November 2008 (UTC)
- The name is more of a bad choice than a bad joke. The name and the content of the article aren't funny. --Michaeldsuarez (Talk) (Deeds) 03:16, 18 November 2008 (UTC)
- I'll get the name changed and get the author to add more well-written content into the article. Thanks. Mattkenn3 Talk 05:07, 18 November 2008 (UTC)

- This is not a vote saying this article is good. This is not a vote for the article being well-written. This is not a vote on this article at all. I don't think it's a joke, and so doesn't merit deletion under this policy. However, I cannot in good conscience vote for something with this name for anything. Of course, if the article stated that this particular Sith was on some powerful narcotics when he chose his name, that might be a different story.
