Yes, afaik the old masthead is still free to customize, unlike the new page header and the global nav/footer.
action=purge only triggers some updates for the current article, and does not affect CSS/JS - browser cache needs to be purged in order to make those update.
Makes sense :)
I don't think it makes much sense. It should be relatively easy to integrate new categories into the existing category hierarchy given the plethora of categories we already have. Even if your new category is really exotic, you can fall back to a top-level root category.

That's what this thread is about - what changes would you like to see?
hmm, I'm not sure about that, I personally like the bit of contrast and separation the different BG color gives.
I think there are two issues:
I think we could either:
And either:

Hey! There is no problem with that - the group name has a link if there is some corresponding documentation about the group. The poweruser group does not have such documentation as it's only used for analytics purposes and is added to people who have a certain number of edits, so there is no documentation for that.
Ohhhh, and don't forget Star Wars: Ewoks!
Yes, that thing was canon...
Yup, exactly! It's nice to pick a neglected or undeveloped aspect of canon or Legends and then fill it with creatures, individuals and all kinds of creations of your imagination.
That was kind of the whole point of this post!
Personally, I prefer to pick an aspect of the Star Wars universe which isn't fully fleshed out in canon yet and try to build it up more. It can be anything - an overlooked side character, an unnamed vessel or an obscure subsector of the galaxy - and the advantage is you have way more freedom in populating it with your fantasy without conflicting with existing canon which would often force you to resort to rather implausible explanations in your story.
It's definitely an interesting concept to explore. In canon, Palpatine continued Darth Bane's Rule of Two, meaning that only two Sith could exist at any point in time, which meant himself and Vader - but there were definitely quite a few Force-sensitive individuals, often former Jedi, who came to serve the Empire as Inquisitors or similar enforcers.
Of course, in your own fanon, you can do away with the Rule of Two altogether, if you so please :)
Hey! Unfortunately we don't allow explicit crossovers per the swfanon.wikia.com/wiki/Star_Wars_Fanon:Content_policy . It's primarily because of copyright concerns over other franchises' content. Sorry!
Yup, there seems to be an uncanny tendency in Star Wars that people who get badly mauled (pun intended), then thrown down a huge shaft return later in some new form. Given these precedents, I'm totally in for mecha-Han Solo or some abomination showing up in Episode VIII.
I don't think we should invoke physics, it's Star Wars after all :P
I still like it how Darth Maul apparently survived being impaled, bisected and thrown down the deepest shaft ever featured in a Star Wars movie :)
Oh my, that too.
Yeah exactly! I think it could have used a sequel, or maybe two :D It really gives a "Clone Wars" feeling across without being too overblown.
One thing that was good about Republic Commandos (outside of the Travissty) though was the computer game. I think that was quite enjoyable to play and really succeeded at creating an atmosphere.
