Hi everyone! This is an OC race I came up with and I'm interested in your thoughts.

Dark Birds are a race of flightless birds. These birds are normally found as walking on stilt like legs, with fur on the top half of the leg. These creatures are bird like, most colors coming in red, orange, black and white. Some have beaks. Others have a fully feathered face with a curve to it like a beak with a feathered face over it. They have been known to have up to 8 eyes on their face. They can also have up to 6 arms(Although many only have 2). They have feathers though out their body except their legs which are talons. They have been know to grow 10 feet at their tallest and 7 feet at their smallest.

They live on a planet named Najare. A mostly tropical planet with a mix of forest and jungle areas with a plain area in between the the forest area and the artic area.

All of them have some control of the force. Most Dark Birds master force lighting at the age of 6 year-olds.

They live in a hierarchy with the king at the top. Though they, as a counter balance, have a council that is meant to even out the king's power. Normally the king and council grow up together in order for them to have strong bonds with each other.

They're behavior has been more withdrawn from others and more open to family an friends and therefore very caring for them. Other then this they do have a cheerful sense to them and strangers despite most using the dark side as a power source. Often both the higher and lower classes sleep standing up rather in bed.

As for their technology, they seem to have very industrial and they have made many different technologies. For transport they use the typical carriage that is wheeled by animals. However they have the compacity to create blasters, holograms and even technology that we have yet to make. Like the Mind Teacher. Instead of going to school, the higher ups and their children can have knowledge downloaded in their brain. Though they have yet to create Starships.

Their alliance in the war began as neutral, though highly on edge with the Jedi, due to them suspiciously going off invading to the Council of Astronomy(space), with the defense of "only wanting to explore. To see if there was life here". Still staying true to neutrality, the king issued at peace agreement where the Dark Birds stay neutral but if a person wishes to join one side or the other, they may under free will. This kept them out of the war until the king's brother, who was a Sith at this time, was shot down by Jedi forces. Though the king was able to fend off the Jedi forces, the prince was mortally wounded. Thus they sided with the Separatists and Sith, with the belief that the Jedi wanted to enslave the Dark Birds, though in truth the Dark Birds only cut trade with the Jedi, made Najare a safe heaven for the Sith and promoted Sith training and created public Sith academies. No troops were sent to attack Republic worlds. Yet.
