BACKGROUND INFO: What is Order 69?
Order 69(AKA "clean up") was the idea to kill the entire clone army in one sitting, leaving the Jedi defenseless and exposed by the sudden departure. Palpatine knows the Jedi’s weakness is empathy and most will try to help the clones and now it should be easy to either drive the Jedi into hiding or have them killed. In just five minutes, the republic lost its entire army and is now exposed.
The order was put in place as a precaution in case the republic was to lose the war and the army would be prevented from falling into enemy hands. Upon command, every soldier would lose all self-control and terminate themselves. At least that was the first intention, but now it is used to expose the Jedi and cause the fall of the republic.
After Order 69, people begin to see the Jedi as failed protectors and have little respect for them. They aren’t as disrespected as clones, but citizens don’t treat them fairly.
THE REASON FOR THE NUMBER SIXTY NINE-
69= Symbolizes balance and harmony: the order is ironic because it destroys the balance and harmony the Jedi tried to create. And in the wake of the order, the galaxy falls into chaos and no one knows who to trust.
69= It also means that ‘you need to turn your attention to family’. So the clones being forced to die and taking others out with them is also ironic because most were focused on brother-like bonds but in the end had to sever that connection.
Set in Season 6 of The Clone Wars: Fives manages to reach the blaster first, shoot Fox, and escape. Fox lives. Fives runs and falls off the platform, disappearing below. Everyone thinks he is dead and only Rex goes to see if he can find the body. Rex ends up finding Fives knocked unconscious and gravely injured after falling and hitting another platform below. Rex then gets a call from Anakin to report in and he keeps his find a secret, He hides Fives(and gets his health stable) and calls for Shaak Ti, who he trusts, to retrieve him.
Ti then goes before the Jedi council to tell them the news, but they don’t want to believe her and send her back to Kamino. They however decide to keep it in mind and to watch the clones very closely for any strange behavior. Some of the Jedi even refuse to work with clones and say they should be contained until further notice.
Fives stays hidden until he gets news that the order(which was not what he expected to happen) was fulfilled. He comes in contact with Rex who refuses to meet him in person but instead gives him the location of Echo. Fives travels to meet the Batch on a distant moon(pictured above) but is attacked by the Empire when he arrives, injuring him as he tries to escape. He later comes in contact with the Batch, when they save him from his attackers, who are living in a small town. Fives stays with them to get caught up on current events and lets Omega tend to his wounds. He ends up taking a liking to their outgoing style and asks to join so he can once again fight.
Fox survives Fives’s shot and reports back to Palpatine about the clone's death. But Palpatine is angry that they don’t have a body as proof and that the Jedi now know of order 66. Fox asks what order 66 is(because he doesn’t know yet) and Palpatine responds with “It’s none of your concern”. He also gets mad at Fox for not shooting Fives and hits him with a blast of lightning until he falls still. However, Fox realized that Palpatine was a Sith by the way he attacked and charges up a thermal detonator to destroy them both. The explosion goes off and seemingly kills fox, but unfortunately, Palpatine survives. He then calls in a guard who confirms that Fox is still alive(his face is blasted off) and is told to drag him to a medic and claims that he had attacked him and will be labeled as a traitor.
