Haha okay. I'll throw out some questions to get the ball rolling...
What is the general story you're looking to tell, and what kind of people would feature in it? For example, would it make sense to make your character a mercenary, a Force user, a bureaucrat, a lost scion of a great family, etc? Thing big picture and work down from there.
Where is your story going to be set, or what kinds of locales might appear? Consider those kinds of things in choosing a species.
Is your character a rogue, a Love Not A Fighter, a funny guy, a painfully serious type?
Let's work from there and workshop some broad ideas.
