Character Question

In my fan-fiction stories, I have a character named after me. However, I am under twelve, so would it be breaking the personal information policy?

Site-wide Collaboration

I'm thinking of a story that includes any two characters from one Fanon user who wants to partake in this site-wide collaboration of a mystery Star Wars novel, written by anyone who wants to join. Message me if anyone wants to collaborate and we'll get started.

Getting to the FANDOM app

Hey!

This topic was once discussed… I mean… it was left to be discussed, but there were finally no comments, and with no comments, there is no discussion, but kind of a monologue

But when I published that thread, apps were kind of different. Then every wiki willing to be more portable was given their own app to download on your mobiles. Now, there's one more, like the FANDOM app to contain all FANDOM content and wikis that wanna be on.

I've already gotten the anwer. They say that even fanon-themed wiki can be added, and all we'd need to do if we wanted that is the community's agreement and active admins. The second point is done, so the question is, what about the first? Would you like to get to the app so those reading the wiki content could surf us easier with their phones?

What would I get with it? I'm a Polish SW-fanon wiki admin. My community would really like to be available for those using the app, but as we're not in English, we need to… uhmm… find one in English to be the basement so we'd both be available. But anyway I believe that a wiki like Star Wars fanon is needed for the app. Wookieepedia, for example, is already on.

There's another problem. For now, if you have the app downloaded, you get notificatons if, for instance, someone has commented your post. It's also about the wikis unavailable on the app. But if the wiki is not available on the app, you can only see that post. Nothing more.

I hope I'm understandable and that this post will turn out more commented that the previous one!

Foreign editting

It's a very big nuisance when I try to edit my Mandalorian character and other individuals keep reverting back to old versions. This is not an open edit. Naastau, Faithful Iron, and any other related material are mine and I will change the information as drastically as I please. Stop.

Favorite Star Wars Fanon Character

I am thinking of writing a spin-off to mine and McClanahEric's series. This poll consists of characters of mine and the character with the most votes gets their own personal story in the series.
Who is your favorite Star Wars Fanon character?
  • Patrick Rahr
  • Clasina
  • Crane
  • Captain Ranger (CC-1992)
  • Captain Carg (ARC-100)

Where to start?

Working on something and as I'm thinking about world-building, I'm wondering if any of our more seasoned and/or award-winning Fanon writers have suggestions on where to start (i.e. start with a specific character and build the world from there or build the world and place the characters in it)?
Where to start your Fanon? Chicken or the egg?
  • Create/develop an individual or group of characters?
  • Create/develop the events the story revolves around?
  • Create/develop the history that leads to the events?

Community Apps

Hello there!

I'm from Polish Star Wars Fanonpedia, the wiki considered as an official friend of yours. We were lately planning to get a community app, and when everything seemed to go as we hoped, we were told that to quality for an app, we needed to find an English-language wiki to share it with.

And my question follows: would you agree to be that wiki? It isn't tiring to have an app. Having downloaded it, users could surf the wiki content and take part in discussions on this forum more easily, also getting notifications. All the administrators need to set would be preparing the mobile main page. I'd be ready to take care of asking the FANDOM personel to make an app for us, and my wiki community would be glad if you agreed :)

Wanna take a look at an app prepared before?

Writing Ideas

I have a new Jedi Knight called Re Till, who lived from 122 BBY-58 BBY. I don't have many ideas for him, so if anyone can find a way to fit him into one of their stories, that would be awesome! Thanks.

Thirteenth Wiki Awards Details!

Hello everyone! Just minutes ago I published the page for this year's annual Wiki Awards, and I thought it would be a good idea to make a Discussions post to clarify a few things. If you refer to the page for the awards, you will notice the introduction of a slightly different system involving a new award; this is the main purpose of this post, to clarify what this is and how it will work.

I thought it would be a fun idea to introduce a different voting system this year, as something of an experiment. 2018's Wiki Awards will introduce the Best Overall Article Award, which will be presented to the winner of a second voting stage, and will be voted for from the roster of winners in the other categories.

In the hopes of clarifying myself further, I will break down how this will work:
- The nomination period (April 16 - May 7) will operate the same as in past years. Users on the wiki will nominate whatever article they want, so long as they follow the rules, in the time period that the nominations will take place.
- After the nominations, the first stage of voting (May 8 - May 22) will also operate the same as in previous years. To make things easier to understand, consider stage one of voting the same as the voting in any other Wiki Awards.
- After the presentation of the awards in Stage One, the winners of each category will not only be awarded normally, but will also move on to Stage Two. The winners of Stage One will become candidates to receive the Best Overall Article Award, which will be voted for in the same way as in Stage One: by the community. Stage Two will be much shorter than Stage One, spanning a total of 5 days.

Once the Wiki Awards are fully completed, every winner from the first stage will be properly awarded. Winning the Awards is no easy feat, after all! The winner of the second stage will receive its normal award for winning stage one, as well as the Best Overall Article Award.

If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask me, and I'll be sure to get back to you as soon as possible. Thank you, and good luck!
